champagne wishes and royal wedding dreams

I was one when Diana and Charles got married, so not only did I not get to watch live as history was made, I probably didn't care too much. This time around, not only did I care but there was no way I was going to miss it. Fortunately for me, one of best friends Shelley is a sucker for princess fantasties and weddings too.

To celebrate, we held a slumber party at her house and somehow managed to stay up until around 6 when we both passed out on the couch while wedding coverage played on in the background. Giddy on champagne and stuffed from sushi, Shelley and I spent the night (pre-wedding coverage) making guesses on Kate's wedding dress (I got the top part mainly right) and enjoying some much-needed girl talk. But the second wedding coverage started we made sure to top off our glasses and snuggle in for a long night of oohing and awwing, and agreeing about how gorgeous Kate looked. It was a fantastic girlie night I'm quite glad I stayed up to watch live. I'm even more glad I got to share it with an amazing friend! Thanks for a fabulous night Shel!
